Dear HEAL Project Community --
As summer comes to a close, The HEAL Project is thrilled to be back in the classroom, welcoming visitors to the farm and cooking up farm-fresh recipes at our tastings!
Would you like to get your grocery shopping out of the way and support the healthy, active growth of our community's youth? Then mark your calendars to come shop at New Leaf Community Market in Half Moon Bay this Thursday, September 17, and The HEAL Project will receive a portion of the day's total sales. We look forward to seeing you there!

New this year THP is offering a two day Fall Harvest Camp at the San Mateo County School Farm in El Granada. Camp will be held November 23 to 24 from 9am - 3pm. During this time, campers have the opportunity to take break from the classroom and step into an outdoor learning adventure filled with activities such as cooking, hiking, digging, tasting, and creating art with nature.
Visit www.thehealproject.org/camps to sign up and learn more about our day camp.
Campers from our 2015 Summer Camp enjoy hikes around the farm and creative crafting activities.
Thank you to all of The HEAL Project community members who participated in our Summer Seeds campaign. Each dollar makes a difference, and we proudly raised over $4,000! Your donations directly support our programs and help our goal of developing a generation of active, engaged and healthy students.
Missed out on THP's Summer Seeds fundraising drive but wanting to make your contribution? Have no fear! We welcome donations year-round and monthly sponsorships through our Greenfellows program. Click here to get involved today!
The first days of school are an exciting time for parents, students, and teachers alike - including The HEAL Project team! Laurel and Jon, our classroom instructors, will be found back at Hatch and Farallone View Elementary Schools. The Hatch garden is still under construction so we will continue to work out of the Coastside Children's Program garden (hidden behind the Hatch playground) for the time being.
Schools from all over San Mateo County are invited to schedule a field trip led by THP staff at the San Mateo County School farm in El Granada. Visit www.thehealproject.org/school_visit to register and learn more.
Field trips out to the farm are one of many ways that THP connects students with their environment and their peers.
Thanks so much for being a part of The HEAL Project community!
